March 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop: Birthdays

Welcome to the March 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! I’m so excited to be part of this fun collaboration with fellow demonstrators. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along. This month’s theme is BirthdaysI can’t wait to show you my project!

The Perennial Birthday Stamp Set is my second favorite set from the Occasions Catalog. I love flowers of just  about any kind. I stamped all of the images in Momento's Tuxedo Black and fussy cut a bunch of them out. I just started putting them together in different configurations until I got one that I liked. I covered it all up with some Glad Press & Seal. That will keep it all together until I start my assembly.

My Card Base is Bermuda Bay - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".
The Card Front is Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4",  embossed with the Petal Burst TIEF.
The Card Front Mat is Pool Party - 2 3/4" x 3 5/8", stamped with Pool Party Ink (using the largest floral image).
The Sentiment Strip is Bermuda Bay - 1 1/4" x 4 1/4", Stamp the sentiment with Tuxedo Black. Tie some Bermuda Bay 1/8" Shimmer Ribbon (FREE Sale-A-Bration item) around this piece.
I colored the flowers with Stampin' Blends, Pool party light & dark and Bermuda Bay light & dark.
The Inside Layer is Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4". Stamp the sentiment with Tuxedo Black. Stamp the largest floral image with Pool party ink, stamping off once.
Assemble the card with your preferred adhesives.
I popped up the smallest flowers with Mini Dimensionals.

If you would like to earn this beautiful pack of Shimmer Ribbon all you have to do is make a $50.00 purchase in my online store and it can be yours FREE.

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop #19 - Color Challenge

Welcome to the 19th GSF Blog Hop. This month we are all working with a Color Challenge. The colors that were chosen are Island Indigo,  Lemon Lime Twist & Early Espresso.

Now I have to confess something. Color Challenges cause me to run in terror. I sit there staring at my Stamp Pads (in the chosen colors) and just freeze up. I like to work with a stamp set. So for me this was like going backwards.

I remembered seeing, somewhere, Pinterest probably, Lemon Lime Twist embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. So, I told myself to start there. Which way, which way? I had other things in mind for the Petal Palette set, so that one was out.

Then I thought about my favorite set from the Annual Catalog, Dragonfly Dreams. So I started playing. I stamped the wings stamp using a sponge dauber in Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo. The body of the dragonfly became the Dragonfly Die cut. Then I staggered a couple of Stitched Shape Squares under the Dragonfly. I used the Banner Die from the Petals & More Thinlits to cut out my sentiment. On the Inside layer I used the dotted stamp along the bottom of the layer in Lemon Lime Twist & Island Indigo. I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Day in Island Indigo.

Well it's time to hop over to the Talented Karie Beglau's blog and see what inspiration she has created for you. Just click on the Next Arrow below and you will be taken to her blog. Thank you for taking the time to drop by.

PP382 - A Sketch Challenge from The Paper Players

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It's been awhile since I posted here. I have been so busy with my card classes at my house in Evergreen that I have neglected my online activities. But I am back now. You all know by now how much I enjoy a good Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch comes from the Paper Players #PP382.

My contribution to this challenge uses the Hold On To Hope Bundle. What a beautiful sentiment that is. I decided it was going to be my card for Easter this year. I used some of the Sale-A-Bration 2nd release SpringTime Foils Designer Series Paper to showcase this beautiful set. The cross is gorgeous, especially done in our Copper Foil Paper. I kept it pretty simple, letting the paper be in the spotlight. Showing off the cross and the banners. I paired the SpringTime Foils with Early Espresso Cardstock.

You will find the list below for all of the card ingredients. If you do not have a demonstrator you can click on the items below and you will be taken to my online store.

Did you know that this is the absolute best time to join my team and become a Stampin' Up Demonstrator? Either as a part time job or as a hobbyist. When you join my team before the end of March you will not only get $125.00 worth of product for only $99.00, but you get to choose 2 more stamp sets free as well. That's a potential $60.00 worth of product MORE that you can get in your starter kit. Then the other perks kick in. 20% off of your supplies. The ability to pre-order ahead of our new product roll outs. I so enjoy everything I do as a Demonstrator. Sharing my love of all things paper crafted. Think about it!!

If you order before the end of the month make sure you use the host code, YTH6TG3U. Place a $60.00 order (before tax & shipping) and you will receive a Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Free from me!
